Bogota

Bogota
As the capital of Colombia, Bogota is a thriving financial center, and was recently (July 2011) recognized by Fortune magazine as one of the top 15 cities in the world to do business. Bogota made it onto the list as a result of its skilled workforce, solid infrastructure, and potential for attracting foreign multinationals including Citibank and McDonalds. In addition, in 2010, the World Bank moved Bogota up in its economic report rankings by 12 spots, noting the significant improvement in business practices and procedures, including the simplification of its tax structure, and the introduction of an electronic payment system for filing and payment of corporate income taxes.
