Marie Guillot is Managing Partner of the EMA Partners Houston office and has been a leader in retained executive search since 2007, following a 20-year career in industry as an executive in high-growth private and public companies. Marie has conducted over 700 executive search assignments including Board & C-Suite, VP, and Director roles for companies operating both domestically and internationally. Industry practice expertise includes Manufacturing, Energy/Renewables, IT/Digitalization, EPC (eng,proc,construction), and Healthcare for private, public and private equity backed companies Marie partners with her clients to place high-impact executive leadership with careful consideration to culture and long term fit. Marie’s background in leadership development and psychometric assessments provides a detailed and thoughtful approach to executive search. Marie is licensed to administer Hogan’s full suite of psychometric assessment tools and Hogan 360, which support clients in succession planning, high potential development, team building, and new hire evaluation and selection. She is a member of the Hogan Independent Coaching Network and uses Hogan methodologies to prioritize culture and fit in leadership selection. Marie is also a certified leadership development coach with ontological training through the Newfield Network and Demartini Method (including Values Assessment). Marie’s practice is dedicated the advancement of Women and Minority executives in leadership roles and in preparation for service on public and private boards. Her practice develops executive leaders as they transition to the C-Suite or Board roles. She offers corporate programs in board readiness training to individual groups and corporations. Prior to joining EMA Partners, Marie served as the CEO and Managing Director of ABACO International Partners, a boutique retained executive search firm she established in 2008. She is a regular speaker at global conferences, sharing insights into the evolution and innovation of executive search. Marie additionally serves on the board of directors for the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GHWCC) and is the founding chair of the GHWCC Women on Board Institute, a year-long program preparing women executives for public and private board roles. She is an Ambassador and Coach with 5050 Women on Boards, an international organization supporting the advancement of women executives on public and private boards. Marie holds dual Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Houston in Texas.
