José María has a Law degree from the University of Navarra, an MBA from IESE, a Master in Financial and Tax Law from the CEU-Abad Oliba, and a Master degree in Mediation from the Barcelona Association of Real Estate Agents (COAPI).
He has been a member of the Board of Directors in several companies in the Financial, Real Estate and FMCG sector including SMEs, family businesses, and publicly traded companies. He has served on these boards as an independent director, proprietary director, and executive director, holding various positions within them, from secretary to chairman, and also participating in their internal committees (delegated committee, appointments and remuneration committee, and audit committee). He is an expert in corporate and business mediation (ADR). He is also member of some foundations, non-profit companies and other non-commercial entities.
He joined Status EMA Partners in 2018 as an executive advisor to develop the consultancy on good corporate governance area.
